From Water

praying to meet more of nne mmiris babies

if you’re the water, I am from you.

We were created together for one another

Through time before and after

We will all meet here on this

plane. But some things will be

obvious.

We are [created together]

from one time to the next

The water close. the earth

the air and fire in our souls.

We meet each other here.

I originally posted this poem as a note here on Substack.

I like revisiting my poetry, it often humbles me.

gives me another space to breathe and see myself clearly.

Poetry helps me remember.

I want to make it a regular practice to recite them to myself

to know them by heart.

I want the poetry that holds n sustains me to be embedded deeply

I pray to be a living embodiment of the love & freedom I hope to see in this world.
